I think there's something in the water

These are a few shots from the weekend. Saturday called for a little get together with some friends from work. we got a blow up pool and just hung out for the evening. Then Sunday I went to Cowan's Gap with the family for the day and got to spend some time with my younger cousins that I don't get to see as often. Great weekend. :)

Travels

I headed up with a friend to Athens for the weekend. The weather did some pretty strange stuff in those short days and the rest are just things here and there.

Tiny Tutu

My little cousin, (the one directly below pointing) has followed in the family footsteps and has become a little tiny ballerina. These are just a few shots from her second recital. The lighting was so low, hence the graininess and the blur. I tried to make some fun out of the situation and did jumping jacks in between to stay warm in the freezing cold auditorium.

D2D

On May 16th, students from the viscom department were let loose all over Athens county to document it's citizens and visitors alike in the pursuit of wellness. I went to a few different fitness classes at the OU rec center.

There is a great body of other student's work at http://www.soulofathens.com

Playing catch up

these are a few shots from a story that i spent tons of time with on Dave Sagan and the Hocking Woods Nature Center. I went into the project being terrified of snakes, and after the first day of shooting, i put my camera down most of the time just to get my hands on many of the 40+ animals that he cares for on a daily basis. he houses several snakes in his home and at the nature center, as well as other reptiles such as turtles, iguanas, and other lizards. he rehabilitates animals to be released into the wild or finds a suitable home for them. the nature center even has houseplants for adoptions. it was an amazing place to spend my days. every day was an adventure.
